Ascension School strives to provide its teachers and students with the tools necessary to extend the core curriculum.  Our goal is to create a technology program suitable for 21st century students.  At Ascension, opportunities are provided for technology to be successfully integrated into the curriculum.

Technology is offered in different ways.  There are computers in each of the classrooms for teacher and student use.  We have a computer lab that is available to teachers and classes on a regular basis, laptops for in class use, and a library that we continue to enhance technologically.

SMART Boards (or interactive whiteboards) have become an important  instructional tool in the classroom.  SMART Boards are available in certain classrooms and in the computer lab.  Every school year we are adding  SMART Boards to our classrooms.  The school continues to work on ways to raise funds for additional smart boards, with the goal being to place a smart board in every classroom.

Ascension School believes technology is a crucial component in a child’s learning.  We continue to take the necessary steps to give our students the technological advantage they need.
