Q. What does an Ascension School education offer?
A: Your child will have a stellar education experience at Ascension School. Beginning in early childhood with our centers-based approach where students are actively engaged in their learning, students begin to see the joy and fun of learning new things. That love of learning continues in the primary grades, where the outstanding foundation students obtained in early childhood will continue to be cultivated, challenging our students to go above and beyond the curriculum. Students then move on to our middle grades where success awaits them. Our 4th and 5th graders regularly obtain a 95%-100% pass rate on state exams, while giving the students the opportunity to learn in new ways. Once students enter our middle school, the challenging curriculum continues, with New York State Math and ELA exams in 6th and 8th grade. Our middle schoolers will be leaders in community service projects and will showcase their talents in events like science fairs and speech bees. Our 8th graders receive the best high school guidance we can provide them. We make it a cooperative effort, guiding both students and parents through the process. Our 8th graders go on to some of the best Catholic High Schools in the city, as well as some of the best public schools in the city such as Bronx High School of Science and Brooklyn Tech. From entrance to graduation, an Ascension School education is nothing less than stellar.
