Overview of the Ascension School Fundraising Association

The Ascension School Fundraising Association (ASFA) was designed with the dual function of fundraising for the school and to bring families together to actively participate and support our children and teachers. The success of each event depends upon parent participation. This includes, but is not limited to, volunteering, selling tickets, donating goods, soliciting donations, decorating, baking and attending ASFA events. The ASFA focuses on the following key areas:

  • Organizing Four Major Fundraising Events: 1. Halloween Bash (October 28, 2011)   2. Christmas Extravaganza (December 10, 2011)   3. Annual Parent Spring Gala (March 10, 2012)   4. Ascension Carnival Thursday (May 17, 2012)
  • Sponsoring Recurring and Ongoing Fundraising Programs: The ASFA and Ascension Parents will be sponsoring Ascension’s 100 Year Celebration and Fundraiser on June 2nd, 2012; December and May Raffles; and Movie Nights.
  • Assisting with School Events: Soliciting parents to volunteer for: Book Fair Monitors; Christmas & Spring Concert Concession Volunteers; Outside Recess Monitors; Field Day Volunteers; Annual Uniform Collection & Sale; School Beautification and Green Program Volunteers.
