During the 2011-2012 school year Ascension School joined the Catholic Youth Organization Basketball League.  Playing against other schools in Manhattan, CYO Basketball gives our youngsters the opportunity to play sports and learn about fairness, competition, self control, cooperation and teamwork.  Our Ascension team plays with a lot of heart and were able to come up with their first victory in January.  Coached by our physical education teacher, Wil Kirkaldy, our students are learning the rules and regulations of the game and playing with a spirit  indicative of the youngsters we hope to produce here at Ascension.

Ascension’s mission is to educate the whole child, and by providing our students with After school and sports activities, we are giving them the opportunity to explore their talents and use them to the best of their ability.  For information on some of our other after school programs, please go back to the programs link.
